THOUGHT ON THE LACK OF PROPER
LEARNING EQUIPMENTS AND
FACILITIES

Education is very important. This is because it is through

education that we can achieve our goals and get money to
take care of ourselves. Education is also key in the
development of a country. However, in some rural
communities, there is a lack of proper learning facilities and
equipments. This is due to the absence of the government’s
provision of these equipments.
In most rural areas, children tend to drop out of school
simply because, people living in rural communities are not
able to pay school fees. Due to this, the government built
schools that are free to attend. This helped children for some
time but now the government does not have enough
revenue to support these schools.
This problem has worsened within the year. Some public
school buildings are very weak and even dilapidated. Some
public schools are crowded beyond the classroom capacity
just because there are not enough classroom buildings to
accommodate all the pupils. Due to this, there is a lack of
chairs and tables in the classrooms.
With a problem this serious, it affects the nation’s
development in terms of education. However, this problem
can be solved if we give a lot of attention to the provision of
educational infrastructure and proper learning equipment in
Ghana. Communities can raise funds to help children in rural
towns and village. The government should take action on this
by proving learning equipment to the schools instead of
ignoring the situation.
All this can happen if only we take action. Philanthropists and
benevolent individuals and organizations can offer
scholarships and assistance to children in rural communities.
