1. SCOPE
This Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) covers the inspection and test requirements for the Cable pulling
& termination work for 220MWac SAMARKAND Solar PV Plant in Uzbekistan.
2. INSPECTION CATEGORIES
The following inspection categories shall be used to identify the extent of inspection for each
inspection activity within the ITP.
Hold Point (H)
A point which Owner and/or Contractor’s inspector shall inspect and clear the activity as per the
approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). Otherwise no further activity shall proceed without prior
permission by Owner.
Witness Point (W)
Witness, checking, examination and/or inspection points as appropriate.
A point at which Owner and/or Contractor’s inspector shall attend or witness the activity as per the
approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). After formal notification work can proceed if Owner and/or
Contractor’s inspector is not available to attend or to witness the activity on the date notified.
Spot Witness Point (SW)

A witness point at which spot inspection or spot examination is required in accordance with the
approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). Work may proceed through the designated spot witness point if
the inspector is not present for the continuously implemented activity. No formal notification is required
except the very first commencement of related activity.
Review Point (R)

A point at which Owner and/or Contractor’s inspector shall review the relevant documents as per the
approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
Monitoring Point (M)

A point at which Owner and/or Contractor’s inspector will visit any work to inspect the ctivity during
processing as per the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
Surveillance activity, the act of monitoring or observing the status of work and materials and
analyses of records to verify whether an item or activity conforms to specified requirements may be
performed at the monitoring point.
3. NOTICE OF INSPECTION
The Contractor shall submit to Owner a notice of inspection request one (1) day before the inspection
to be carried out. The request shall contain information as follows:
Inspection item(s);
Responsibility Category (Subcontractor, Discipline);
Date, place and time of inspection;
Any other relevant information.
Look ahead schedule of inspection and test for 2 weeks will be provided to Owner as an advance
information base on the projected construction schedule. The schedule will be prepared weekly and submit
to Owner for information. Refer to attachment
