A Proposal for a TV advert

PROPOSAL

Synopsis: The advert we are presenting to you is for the game Monopoly. We want to show you that
Monopoly is a game for all, with so many different versions of the game (1,691 to be exact!). In the
UK, 3 in 4 houses have a version of Monopoly. We want to push the wider range of Monopoly games
that haven’t had as much popularity, such as the Queen edition. 70% of the UK own a board game,
and we can tap into this market. With our advert, we are intending on showing as many Monopoly’s
as we can. We want to do snap shots of each Monopoly board, and have people dressed up with
each game. We thought to do this as there are many versions of the game and this would be a better
way to present it all. At the end, we hope to have all of the Monopoly boards in one snap shot,
which shows the scale of the brand. We believe this is also a better way to show each genre.

Purpose: The purpose is to present Monopoly to everyone, so that they can find their favourite
genre of the game because there are 1,691 monopoly’s such as:

Queen edition

Ohio state university

Iowapoly

Warhammer 40000

Walking dead

Edge hill university

Fall guys monopoly


Farmopoly

Fedex edition

We believe there is a monopoly for all ages/genders as there are so many different genres.

We chose these as they all show the monopoly game but only one version at a time. We want to
promote them all in on advert. In ours, we want a family to show how they bond over the game, but
each person will be dressed as a character. This is because we want you to see the different genres
there is and not just the basic monopoly.

Target audience:

Our target audience is parents or grandparents. This is because over the Christmas season they want
to do more family time by advertising this it catches their attention to more family bonding. They are
also more likely to purchase the game for their children/families.

What is the USP?

Our idea is to promote/re-launch the games that aren’t as noticed within the Monopoly brand. The
ones that don’t get advertised as much giving them a second chance including you.

This means you can find your perfect monopoly suited to your likes and wants in one board game.
This means more inside jokes and intriguing memories with everyone.
