OBJECTIVES: The student nurses will be able to:


 formulate their own behavioral objectives to be used as their guide map upon evaluation of their
individual health education.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION:
As part of your final output in the final period, you are going to conduct an individual patient/health
teaching or education. You may facilitate it through one-to-one instructions, group discussions or
whatever instructional methods or materials your health education session necessitates (for group
discussions 3-5 participants only and may be based on your chosen developmental stage learner—
children, adult older adult). You may refer to the following topics or provide your own to whatever you
are confident to teach with: (to be submitted on May 30 after discussion with instructional method).
 Wound cleaning
 Musculoskeletal disabilities with assistive devices usage (cane, crutches, walking)
 Peri-anal care
 Breastfeeding concepts and techniques
 Breast self-examination
 Basic first aid (general)
 Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
 Proper nutrition and menu planning
 Child safety (general)
 Vital signs

OUTPUT: Formulation of behavioral objectives is the initial component of a health teaching plan (to be
discussed after the instructional method lecture). Start formulating your goal and objectives
encompassing all the three domains of learning. Consider the proper ways of writing it and the level of
difficulty that we have tackled. Use the given table below. Minimum of 3 or more objectives per domain.
