HISTORY INSTRUCTIONS
Mickey and Minnie made their live debut at the Carthay Circle
Theatre in 1937 for the premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
In 1950, they appeared in the Ice Capades, a traveling ice skating show.
When Disneyland® Park opened in 1955, Walt Disney did not have a
wardrobe available for them and used the costumes from the
Ice Capades.

However, starting in the 60s and 70s, their clothing started to more
closely resemble the tuxedo and polka dot attire we know today. Now,
Mickey and Minnie are undeniable fashion icons. We invite you to join
us this year as we recreate iconic outfits from every Disney Park and
Resort throughout the year!
