Dear Parent,

Your son/daughter has requested to attend the SCUBA Club Extra-Curricular Activity, which is being run in
association with Al Boom Diving. Please confirm your child’s place by returning the reply slip below to Ms
Wilson by Friday 15th September.

The club will run on Friday afternoons, commencing on Friday 22 nd September. There will be
approximately 8 sessions in total. The final session will be a weekend day trip to Fujairah and I will send
more details about that day in due course.

Students should meet immediately after school on Fridays in CG2. Al Boom Diving will provide a free bus
to pick students up from school each week and take them to the dive centre.

Please arrange to collect your son/daughter, from the dive centre on Al Wasl Road, at the time specified
on the schedule. The full address is Al Boom Diving Aqua Centre Dubai, Villa 254, 33 rd Street/Al Wasl Road,
Jumeirah 1 (next to the Iran Consulate & near the Iranian Hospital).

All SCUBA equipment and Divers Alert Network insurance will be provided by Al Boom and is included in
the course fee. Students will need to bring swimwear, a towel, casual clothes and footwear to change
into.

Al Boom will send home by email some important health and safety documentation. Please complete and
return it to them. Once received, an online payment link will be emailed and once payment is received, e-
learning material will be emailed to students.

The fees of the courses, inclusive of VAT, are as follows:

 PADI Open Water Diver: AED 1,974 per person

 PADI Advanced Open Water Diver: AED 1,621.20 per person
 PADI Emergency First Respond and Rescue Diver course: 2310 per person

o I am aware that if my son/daughter ticks YES to any questions on the medical statement, I will
need to provide a doctor’s certificate in order for them to participate.

o I am aware that my son/daughter must be able to swim for 200 metres and float for 10 minutes
unaided in order for them to take part in the PADI Open Water course.
OR
o I am aware that in order to take part in the PADI Advanced Open Water course, my son/daughter
must already hold the PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent from another dive
organisation, and this will need to be provided to Al Boom before the first session.
OR
o I am aware that in order to take part in the PADI Emergency Respond and Rescue Course, my
son/daughter must already hold the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
from another dive organisation, and this will need to be provided to Al Boom before the first
session.
