Jesus said to his disciples: “Not everyone who says to me, „Lord, Lord,‟ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one
who does the will of my Father in heaven. “Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise
man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not
collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be
like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it
collapsed and was completely ruined.”
Reflection:
Scripture warns that destruction will surely come to those who place their security in something other than God and his
kingdom. Jesus' parables invite us to stake our lives on the coming of his kingdom or face the consequences of being
unprepared when the day of testing and destruction will surely come.
Is the Lord Jesus and his word the one sure foundation of your life?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, you are the only foundation that can hold us up when trials and disaster threaten us. Amen
Happy 1st day of December! Christmas is truly in the air. Amidst all the preparations for this most celebrated season of the
year, may we never forget the true essence of Christmas - Christ's birth. May we all, through our thoughts, words and
deeds, be a living reminder of Christ's presence in this world. Here are some tips on how to do so in school:
1. Treat everyone with RESPECT. Greet your teachers, classmates and all school personnel courteously and speak to them
politely. Maintain respectful communication even in online platforms.
2. Perform your academic tasks RESPONSIBLY. Make sure to come to class prepared and submit quality assessment outputs
on time, if not ahead of time.
3. Never waste an opportunity to be OF HELP to others. A small act of KINDNESS goes a long way.
4. Be MINDFUL of other people and even the planet. Following the Keep Right rule and CLAYGO are some of the simple
acts that show care for others and the environment.
5. Always find time to talk to God through prayer. Visit the Capilla at least once a day to pray for yourself and others.
