Lesson We will start with a warm-up out of the blue method book, focused on the different kinds of
Overview: articulations. This is our second class working on Christmas at the Symphony. We will start by
talking about Tchaikovsky and the Nutcracker, and then transition into working on this section
of the piece. Students have an opportunity to apply the articulations exercise from the warm-up
here. At the conclusion of the lesson, I will remind students to bring their ukes for tomorrow’s
theory lesson, and remind them about their band practice sheets.
