Adverbs of frequency

1.-Definite: typically go at the end of the sentence.

Examples:

hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, every day, once a week, twice a year, three times a
year, on Mondays, etc.

People should go to the dentist twice a year

The supervisor checks the alarm’s sensors every day.

Definite adverbs of frequency may go at the FRONT for reasons of emphasis or style; for example:

Every day, more than thousands of people use public transportatio.

2.- Indefinite: mainly placed before the main verb (except with the main verb "to be").

Examples:

always
usually
often
frequently
sometimes
occasionally
seldom
rarely
never

They always go to the park to practice sports.

She usually walks to the office.

She sometimes cooks Italian food.

I rarely travel abroad.

He never goes to the beach.

She is always at work.

Occasionally, sometimes, frequently, often and usually can also be placed at the beginning or at
the end of a sentence for emphasis:
Sometimes they go to the movies after school.

I play my guitar occasionally.

Rarely and seldom can be placed at the end of a sentence (often with "very"):

We visit our relatives very rarely.

John drinks alcohol very seldom.
