About the Artist

Who is this man?

Born August 15, 1928 - Died November 15, 1994

A Filipino architect, artist, and interior desinger known for using


simplistic designs in his projects.

He was proclaimed a National Artist of the Philippines for


Architecture in 1990 by the late former President Corazon C. Aquino.

He was a Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) awardee in 1959 and


a recipient of the Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize in 1992.

in 1969, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is
a large complex with theaters, exhibition galleries, an
ethnographic museum (Museo ng Kalinangang), a
contemporary art museum (Museo ng Sinig), and
more.

is a modern religious edifice steeped in history,
culture, and art. It is under the care of the Sons of the
Immaculate Heart of Mary (Cordis Mariae Filius), who
are also known as the Claretian Missionaries (or
Claretians).

The Church of the Risen Lord is a Protestant church


located in the University of the Philippines campus in
Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. It was constructed
in the 1950's through the Christian Youth Movement
(CYM), a student youth group.
