PROJECT TITLE: PROPOSED TWO-STOREY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING
I. PROJECT OVERVIEW
This proposal shall give thought to all the client’s needs and requests for
the project, the architect will take into consideration the client’s personality and
characteristics, and the architect will follow the client’s desired design on the space
while taking into account the proper orientation of rooms, space planning,
accessibility and maximizing the space in accordance to building laws.
The proposed project shall have several phases from the start of planning
to the completion of the design.
The project shall begin with the interview and consultation with the client,
this step will help the architect determine the needs for the design, as well as
help the client visualize their requests and vision for the project. The consultation
with the client is a vital part of the planning process so there can be no
misunderstandings as well as conflicts throughout the design process and
planning of the project.
2. Conceptualization
This phase is where the preliminary design shall be made following the
client's needs, requests, and vision for the project. The conceptualization of the
design will help the client visualize the exterior and interior design of the building,
as well as give the client a space to give further ideas or address any changes to
the design.
The architect shall begin the planning and designing phase of the project
in accordance to
Building Code of the Philippines and other construction rules and regulations, as
well as per the client’s preference and requests.
This shall be the final phase of the project on which the plans will undergo
checking and consultation to ensure that the plans abide by the law, and the
design follows the Building Code of the Philippines. This phase is where the
client will approve the design to begin the building construction.
To be able to come up with a design, the architect takes into consideration the
client’s characteristics, interests, or work of the client, as well as their preference for the
proposed residential building. This step will help the architect design a structure in line with the
client’s taste and needs, as well as help the client visualize their future home. With this, the
architect can design and plan according to the lifestyle, preferences, and interests of the client
while following the building code of the Philippines.
The Client, Ms. Jessica Mae D. Calpe, a quality inspector, is currently based in
Laguna, Philippines. the proposed two-storey residential building that will be built at Seabreeze
Homes Cabid-an, Sorsogon City will serve as a family house and her residence whenever she
comes to Bicol. The client likes live streaming so the plan includes a space or a small office
dedicated to her live-streaming hobby, the client also loves cooking and baking, so we are
considering making a spacious kitchen as well as the cooking area. The client also likes
playing badminton, to which she requested to add an outdoor space where she can play
badminton. The client wants a spacious, conducive, and relaxing place to live in.

a. To design a sustainable residential building as per the client’s request and needs.
b. To produce a design that follows and takes into consideration the National Building
Code of the Philippines.
c. To create an aesthetically pleasing structure as well as a conducive and relaxing space
to live in.
