Established in 1995, Hotpack has been a leader in providing solutions for Food Pack-
aging. We have been pioneering the efforts to manufacture and distribute packaging
products for a variety of industries that include Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail,
Hospitality, Healthcare, Pharma, and Construction.
In a span of 27 years, we have become the largest manufacturer in the region for
diversified products that include paper, aluminum, and plastic. The operations
include 15 manufacturing plants having more than 3.5 Million Sqft. of manufacturing

TERMINOLOGIES
PAPER BASIS WEIGHT
Paper basis weight is the standard size measured in pounds per 500 sheets or per ream
within its category or that basic sheet size.
GRAM PER SQUARE (G/M2)
It pertains to the mass per unit of area in the metric system. A sheet of paper’s gram-
mage is equal to the weight in grams of a one-square-metersize of that particular type
of paper.
gsm = weight(grams) / (Sample length (m) * Sample Width(m))
GUSSET
A gusset is an indented fold located on the side or bottom of a paper bag that gives
more volume. Adding a gusset on the side and bottom allows the paper bag to expand
and stand upright on its own when it is placed on a flat surface.
FOOD-GRADE
A food-grade product is non-toxic and safe for human consumption. In food packaging,
it means the materials used in the paper or plastic packaging are qualified to be used as
food storage, packaging, and carrying.
GREASE RESISTANT
A paper is grease-resistant when it is repellant to grease oil. Most greaseresistant pack-

aging papers apply to fast-food sandwich wraps, deli wraps, and other types of retail
food packaging.
LAMINATED
Laminated packaging consists of laminated film, usually an overlay plastic, aluminium for
additional protection. Laminated films add strength and durability to the paper if used
for packaging.
FLEXO-PRINTING
Flexographic or flexo printing is a method in printing that uses flexible printing plates,
rotary in-line features, and quick-drying semi-liquid inks. It uses a roll-feed web printing
process to print a high volume of labels and packaging for flexible materials like paper,
plastics, cellophane, fabric, metallic films, and more.

• High-Speed converting units with a monthly capacity of 750+ MT.
• Dedicated high-speed printing machine for all types of bags up to

6 colors within the range of 150-155 meters/minute.
• We manufacture a wide range of custom-made printed bags using

water-based inks.
• Specialized inspection cameras to monitor the print quality at all

times. It also detects if any inconsistencies persist.
• For achieving the best quality, we use the best-in-class supplied

Hot and Cold glue for bag pasting.
• We are equipped with a Manupack system that is used for bag

counting and pressing.
