TOPIC: Deepsea Firmware Update Requirement

PROBLEM / CONCERN:

There is a need to update the firmware on ALL Deepsea controllers to improve the performance of the
Deepsea and to enable new functionality with RMS.

IMPROVEMENT / NOTIFICATION:

Since Deepsea firmware updates need to be done physically on site, there will be a requirement to update all
Deepsea controller firmware during various site visits, to the latest firmware version. The controllers will
include:
 DSE7320MKI
 DSE7320MKII
 DSE7420MKII
The latest firmware version (as of writing this document) is V7.5 (14.1 for DSE7320MKI). So as a minimum, all
controllers must be updated to this version or higher.
NOTE: It will be necessary for you to update your Deepsea Electronics Configuration Suite to the latest
version. This must be done before visiting site, as it may require a substantial amount of data to download.
To do this, you will need to click on Help in the top left of the screen and then click on Check for Updates and
then follow the instructions. You can update option 7XXX only to minimize download time.

The Teltonika RUT955 RMS On Site Installation SOP document has been updated to include this firmware
upgrade. Please use the latest version of the document which is HT-PE-01-12-SOP.07. This document will be
shared via eLoomi and will also be available via Helios Engineering Managers.
The new section has been added and can be found from page 48 to page 56 of the updated document.
Note that ALL Deepsea controllers must be checked and updated.

Firmware updates must be done on all Deepsea controllers to at least V7.5 or higher.
