INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY AND CRITICAL THINKING

What is Philosophy,

Philosophy is the systematic study of fundamental questions about existence and origin of the nature of
thing by Greek historians who came to be known as philosophers, an investigation into words can tell us
little of the use to which words are put after they have come into being leading to knowledge.
Philosophy appears to be a guide to life, the necessity of living according to nature hence developing a
physics and a logic as well as a system of ethics. Philosophy also brings a sharp distinction between
those thing that can be known through the unaided reason and those things that can only be known
through as supernatural revelation and covers both physical and moral sciences hence brings us to
reality of things, and the nature of the universe. It often involves critical thinking, rational inquiry, and
the examination of concepts and beliefs to better understand the world and our place in it. Philosophers
explore various branches of philosophy, including metaphysics (questions about the nature of reality),
epistemology (questions about knowledge and belief), ethics (questions about morality and values), and
more. Philosophy seeks to address profound and abstract questions, offering insights and perspectives
that can shape our understanding of the human experience.
