Assessment Overview

Using an apparently healthy individual (partner, peer, family member) you are required to produce a progressive 12-week
Pilates programme and implement 3-weeks of the plan. The implementation of this case-study SHOULD NOT commence
until you have passed your summative Pilates practical assessment.

NB: Candidates must achieve enough passes to show competency across all sections. Candidates are allowed no more
than 1 R in any section. An R in a shaded box is an automatic refer.

The L.O.G should pass vertically
and centrally.

The ears should appear level to

The shoulders should be positioned

The scapulae should lie flat against


the thorax and no angle or border
should be prominent.

The hips should be at the same


height on both sides and the
creases in the buttocks should be
even. The PSIS should also
be parallel.

The backs of both knees should be


at the same level on both sides and
the knees should be straight (not
bowed or knocked)

The feet should be approximately 4


inches (10cm ) apart with a position
of slight out-toeing. The outer
malleolus and outer margin of the
sole of the foot should be in the
same vertical plane.
