ART CLUB
Part 1:
You want to join an Art club. Fill in the form. Use 1 – 5 words.
1. Where do you live? I live in Ha Long city.
2. What’s your favorite season? My favorite season is spring.
3. What do you usually do on weekends? I usually watch movies on weekends.
4. What’s your favorite film? I am a big fan of humorous films.
5. Who is your best friend? My best friend is Thuy Linh.
Part 2:
You are a new member of an Art club. Fill in the form. Write in sentences. Use 20 -30
words.
Tell me a painting or a photo that you like
I extremely like my yearbook photo. I remember that this photo was taken 6 months
ago, when I was a student in high school. The photo was about me and my teacher.
We were smiling at each other.
Part 3:
You are a member of an Art club. You are talking to three other members in the Art club
chat room. Talk to them using sentences. Use 30 – 40 words.
A. I kept a painting for a long time. Tell me a thing that you have had for a long
time.
When I was 5 years old, I had the same painting as you. That picture which was
created by me is about my nuclear family. My mother hung it in the living room.
The painting is still appreciated by members in my family until this day.

B. I would like to learn painting, but I have not found an effective way. Should I
take a course at my local college?
I think it is a good choice for a new learner to enroll in a painting course. As far as I
know, your local college is suitable for training in art. In addition, many students
who graduated from that institution have deep knowledge of art, some people there
are famous for their talent in the art world.
C. Stress art – where people paint on the building – are becoming popular.
However, some people criticize that it is bad. What is your opinion?
I totally agree with this opinion. It seems to me that it’s very annoying if the
building I am living in is painted. From my point of view, we can paint if the place is
allowed to paint. On the contrary, if it is banned, we are criticized by people around
us.

Part 4:
You are a member of an Art club. You received this email from the club.
Dear members,
The Art club is organizing a talk to the public to attract more attention. We are going to
invite an artist to give a talk to the members. As a member of our club, could you give us
which artist to join our talk and what topic should they share to gain more attention?
Especially, we would like to have more both young and elderly members.
1. Write an email to your friend. Write about 50 words.
Hi Mary,
How is it going? It seems like ages since I last saw you. I hope this email find you
well. I certainly believed that you have just got an email from our club. I was over
the moon when I heard that notification. Oh! I can not wait to participate in this
event. What about you? How do you feel? Tell me.
Drop me a line,
Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy.
2. Write an email to the manager of the club. Write about 120 – 150 words.
Dear Sir,
My full name is Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy and I have joined the art club since 2018.
Today, I am writing this email to give my honest suggestions concerning the
previous notification that I have received from the club. Moreover, i would like to
thank all members in the club for their efforts and sacrifices on our behalf.
According to the news, the club will organize a talk to the public to attract more
attention and invite an artist to give a talk to the members. To be honest, I felt in
seventh heaven when I heard this news because I have been looking forward to
attending for a long time.
In my opinion, we should invite Ms. Thao who is admired by many young people.
She is well-known for her excellent artworks and inspirational statements. We
should talk about the advantages of art with mental health. I am sure that topic will
make the audience pay attention. Besides, we could post a detailed article about our
event on social media so that both young and elderly members can see and attend
with us.
Please take my suggestions into consideration. I am looking forward to hearing from
you if my suggestions are helpful.
Best regards,
Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy.
