If I am about to fight a chick in a bikini, I’m gonna

be heavily distracted and morally conflicted. I will
go from level 100 to like level 13. Women are

Because men characters usually “tanks” - big
bulky guys with large sword, mace and shield,
holding the frontline while those skinny mages and
archers in leather and hide armour cast magic and
shoot arrows.

This likens sexual assault to a car crash, where
quite often the driver will be at fault, and
sometimes the «culprit» is but the unstoppable
force of nature itself (rain, wind, sleet, and
gravity, as it were), where the behaviour of the
driver (wearing a seatbelt) is what saves her
from something she either is to blame for or that
shan’t be held accountable - which frankly is
part of the problem as emphasised in the meme.

Men aren’t a force of nature. You should bloody

well be more capable of telling a man to fuck off
(kindly, if you feel so inclined) than a strike of
lightning felling a tree atop of your car, without
that effort fruitlessly ending with a similar
outcome (broken minds and/or broken bodies)
because women didn’t wear the metaphorical
seatbelt of modesty, humility, self defence
capabilities, company, and timing.

«Well yes, you’re a victim of sexual assault, but if

you’d stayed home covering up with a group of
friends maybe you wouldn’t have been» is
ringing similarly to «Yes, you were in a car
accident, but if you’d devoted yourself to never
drive where there are many cars, trees, or
extreme weather phenomenons you might’ve
avoided this altogether».

It isn’t a lie, and thereby technically rings true.

But I can’t live my life driving broad, abandoned
country roads during summer because bad
things might happen if I drive anywhere else, and
again, men aren’t nearly as unstoppable as many
common causes of accidents happening on a
road, so telling women to buckle up isn’t really a
good strategy for managing what clearly appears
to be a societal issue of what exactly should
constitute boundaries.

When driving a car you’re at least taught how

you should behave on the road. Respecting other
roadsters, following given laws, adapting to
unforeseen developments. If you see someone
not wearing a seatbelt you wouldn’t normally be
inclined to rail them (pushing their car up against
the railing) because they don’t behave as if they
want a good experience on the highway.

What women wear and where they go when such

assaults are reported is at best a statistical
marker for problem areas and/or groups of
people. They cannot, and should not, be the only
markers counted (for that they are too vague),
and most certainly shouldn’t be used to mandate
the recommended behaviour of an entire gender.

Possible solutions:

Arm all women and forbid men to carry weapons of

any kind. Beginning in grade school, girls should be
required to carry a loaded gun at all times, and
receive training on how to use and care for a gun.

Or, create a law that all men need to cover

themselves from head to toe, including partially
obscuring their vision, when they’re in public, and
they must also have an (armed, of course) female
relative with them as an escort at all times to
prevent the men from behaving badly in public.

stay in after dark because there was a rapist
loose, some politician suggested that men
should get curfew instead. The outrage was loud
(at the second, for some reason no one bat an
eyelash at the first), but the point came across
and the police eventually apologised.
