I had the name of the night club I worked at tattooed inside my bottom lip with UV ink.

If we weren’t working those of us who had it would go there and drink for free. It faded after
about 18 months though. 12 years later it’s completely gone.

My ex was a tattoo artist and a bunch of girls came in looking for finger mustaches. He told
them he wouldn't do it because it was just going to fade and they didn't believe him. So he
pulled out his machine and tattooed a little misfits skull and told them to come back in two
months so he could show them how shitty it healed and how much it faded, and if it still
looked perfect he'd give them the tattoos at half price.

Well, he did the tattoos half price and he's still got that Misfits logo.

Whether a tattoo fades is totally dependant on the person. In places you're really calloused,
it'll come right off. I've got a tattoo right across my palm that people swore would fade but it

I got a 3” ruler tattooed on the outside of my left index finger. I worked at an art framing
shop and it saved me time from pulling out my tape to measure mouldings and material
thicknesses. The first inch (base of finger to first knuckle) is as clear as the day it was
tattooed 2 years ago. The other 2 inches fell off within 3 weeks!

Side note, I kind of got it as a joke but I used it a LOT more than you’d think

Male here. I got my fingerstache in 2000 working at a tattoo shop. It was a joke about rednecks
coming in. I created a wikipedia entry on it. Shortly after I noticed my picture appeared on
various online funny image sites like Something Awful and, honestly, I cant remember the
names of the others. In 2006 I moved to Bay Area and met a girl and dated. She had a
fingerstache which she told me was influenced by the Wikipedia article picture, unbeknownst to
her, was me. My picture is still up. The relationship didnt last, but my fingerstache is still going
strong. For giggles, here's my stache 22 years later.

EDIT: I just noticed someone at some point condensed all tattoo entries on Wiki into one main
entry, with sub entries for different body parts. Lame.
