Matching Game

Materials Directions
• 2-4 children
• 26– Dogs (upper case)
• 26- Cats (lower case)
• 9 Top side cards to copy on each letter card for security.

How to Play
Decide who starts the game. I have a table captain who usually starts.

• Deal out the dog –Uppercase cards face up to the kiddos

• Lay cat -Lowercase cards face down on the center of the table

1. The captain chooses a card a card from the center of the table.
2. If the child has the matching Upper case card (DOG)they get to put their match together and draw again.

3. If the child does not have a match they hold up the card (cat card) and another child with the matching card may
take it. It then becomes that person turn to draw a card.

4. The game continues until a child has matched all their dogs (upper case letters) with cats (lower case letters)!

5. I usually print off a set of cards for each table for the kids to work on!
