B. Objectives
This activity aims:
To strengthen students’ awareness on the importance of the good oral health
To promote oral health care among the learners through interactive activities.
To reinforce the after meal time tooth brushing drill
C. Program Management
Project SMILE it is an activity conceptualized by Teaching and Non- Teaching Staff to promote
healthy gums and teeth. San Luis National High School Family are concerned when it comes
to the oral health of students because this might affect their studies.

Oral Health is fundamental to overall health, well-being and quality of life. A healthy
mouth enables people to eat, speak and socialize without pain, discomfort or embarrassment.
Pain from untreated dental diseases can lead to eating, sleeping, speaking, and
learning problems of every student, which affect their social interactions, school achievement,
general health, and quality of life. Rampant dental caries in student adversely affect the overall
nutrition necessary for the growth of the body specifically body weight and height. That begins
with the first bite and chewing the food efficiently.

Everyone one desires to lead a healthy life, wherein good oral health plays an important
role and implies that gums, oral mucosal tissues and teeth are undamaged and free of
disease. Equally the quality of life and a person’s ability to eat, sleep, and perform without
soreness affects students with poor oral health.
That is why Luisian Family introduced Project Smile it is an activity conceptualized by
Teaching and Non- Teaching Staff to promote healthy gums and teeth. San Luis National High
School Family are concerned when it comes to the oral health of students because this might
affect their studies.
