POWER GENERATION USING SPEED

BREAKERS

ABSTRACT
In India there are very crises of electricity in everywhere almost all the parts of
India.By considering this issue a step has been taken which will reduce the crises of
electricity.In this project we are trying to utilize one such source which was wasted
before,now the source is ‘’speed breaker’’that is ‘electricity generation through
speed breaker’.In this technique when a vehcle passes through a speed breaker ,by
the weight of the vehcle a speed breaker moves downward by certain distance and
spring is arranged in such a way that by the compression of the spring a potential
energy is applied to a spring gear system.By the conversion of the energy we get
kinetic energy which is fed to rotate the shaft of alternator in this way an AC power
is generated,which may step up by a transformer according to the need of
demand.Generated powercan be used for any purposesuch as glowing of street
lig,traffic light etc.
