the questions below:

1. In 7 sentences, summarize the episode.

Answer:
The MMK episode entitled “Colored Pencils” (Ayie’s Life Story) is a story that tells us
that having a mental health illness is not easy. She can’t control her emotion that can
cause to her smiting. This is not ordinary illness, she need to consult in psychiatrist to
treat her. She need to stop working to focus to her treatment. Her family and boyfriend
are always their for her to care, loving, understand, and specially to encourage her live
longer and fight for her illness, until she gradually control her emotions.
Her youngest sister also suffer from mental illness that lead in suicidal, and because of
that they learned to open up their feelings to each other. No matter what illness they
experience, they still remain stronger.

2. What specific mental disorder/s manifested in the movie?

Answer:
The specific mental disorder is Bipolar disorder this is a mental disorder which there
is manic and depressive episodes. Manic is you have a full energy but there are also
you can hurt others, while depressive is you feel the sadness. According to the studies
state in the movie, this bipolar disorder will can get in a combinations of gens, in
environment, and it is also triggered by stress and trauma.

3. What is the main reason of the trauma? What was the prior situation?
Answer:
Trauma can be caused by an overwhelmingly negative event that causes a lasting
impact on the victim’s mental and emotional stability. While many sources of trauma are
physically violent in nature, others are psychological. Some common sources of trauma
include: Rape, Domestic violence, Natural disasters, Severe illness or injury, The death
of a loved one, Witnessing an act of violence.

4. What is your insight about the MMK episode in relation to Mental Health? What is your
realization about Mental Health?
Answer:
The MMK episode “Colored Pens” elicits much sympathy and resonance, while offering
the kind of understanding and awareness about the health issues it raises. Who suffers
from bipolar disorder, from start to finish.
Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realizes his or her own
abilities.
