with an angle of incidence of 50o undergoes the first reflection by mirror 1 and the second reflection by
mirror 2. With the aid of a sketch, determine the angle of reflection when the ra1' leaves mirror 2.

Section B: Answer ANY THREE (3) Questions (Each carries 25 marks)

B1. a) An object is projected on a level ground, with initial velocity of magnitude u at an angle u to the
vertical. Obtain the expressions of the following in terms of u alrtd a:

b) A roller-coaster car of mass 180 kg starts at the top of a 28 m hill with a velocity of 5 m s-l and dives
down into a valley whose deepest point is 13 m, before climbing to the top of a 19 m hill. Assuming the
surfaces are smooth, find the magnitude of the velocity at the deepest point.
