IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRACTICAL/PROJECT

CLASS XII EXAM-2024

 The CBSE class 12th Practical exams are scheduled to begin from
January 2024.
 Students will follow CBSE practical exam syllabus for 2024 from CBSE
academic site.
 Students will have to attend practical exam in school uniform as per
direction of CBSE board.
 Experiments/Activities copies and projects files will have to prepare by
students in all subjects.
 Experiments/Activities and projects assignment can be download
from school website. (www.mpsmotihari.com).
 Students are advised to visit our school website every day after
05:00 pm for any update regarding practical and theory exams.
BIOLOGY PRACTICAL
Practical Records
1. Study the plant population density by quadrat method.
2. Study the plant population frequency by quadrat method.
3. Prepare a temporary mount to observe pollen germination.
4. Prepare a temporary mount of onion root tip to study mitosis.

1. Flowers adapted to pollination by different agencies (wind,


insects, birds).
2. Pollen germination on stigma through a permanent slide.
3. Identification of stages of gamete development, i.e., T.S. of testis
and T.S. of ovary through permanent slides (from
grasshopper/mice).

4. Meiosis in onion bud cell or grasshopper testis through permanent


slides.
5. T.S. of blastula through permanent slides (Mammalian).
6. Controlled pollination - emasculation, tagging and bagging.
7. Common disease causing organisms like Ascaris, Entamoeba,
Plasmodium, any fungus causing ringworm.

8 Comment upon the morphological adaptations of plants found in


xerophytic conditions.
9. Comment upon the adaptations in animal found in aquatic
conditions.

PHYSICS PRACTICAL
 Any three form each section

SECTION A

1. To determine resistivity of two/three wires by plotting a graph for


potential difference versus current.
2. To find resistance of a given wire/ standard resistor using meter bridge.
3. To verify the laws of combination (series) of resistances using a metre
bridge.
Or,
To verify the laws of combination (parallel) of resistances using a metre
bridge.
4. To determine resistance of a galvanometer by half-deflection method
and to find its figure of merit.
5. To find the frequency of AC mains with a sonometer.
ACTIVITIES
1. To assemble a household circuit comprising three bulbs, three(on/off)
switches, a fuse and a power source.
2. To assemble the components of a given electrical circuit.
SECTION B
1. To find the value of V for different values of U in case of a concave
mirror and to the find the focal length.
2. To find the focal length of a convex mirror, using convex lens.
3. To determine angle of minimum deviation for a given prism by
plotting a graph between angle of incidence and angle of deviation.
4. To determine refractive index of a glass slab using a travelling
microscope.
5. To draw the I-V characteristic curve for a P-N junction diode in
forward and reverse bias.
ACTIVITIES
1. To identify a diode, an LED , a resistor and a capacitor from a
mixed collection of such items.
2. To observe refraction and lateral deviation of a beam of light
incident obliquely on a glass slab.

INVESIGATIORY PROJECTS

1. To study various factors on which the internal resistances.EMF of a cell


depends.
2. To find the refractive indices of a water ID oil using a plane mirror, an
equiconvex lens( made from a glass of known refractive index) and an
adjustable object needle.

CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL
A. Volumetric Analysis.
I. Preparation of 250ml (M/50) Oxalic acid solution.
II. Determination of the molarity of the given KMnO4 solution by titrating it
against (M/10) oxalic acid solution.
III. Preparation of 250ml m/20 solution of ferrous ammonium sulphate
(Mohrls salt).
IV. Determination of molarity and strength of the given KMnO4 solution by
titrating it against (M/20) solution of ferrous ammonium sulphate.
B. Qualitative analysis :-
I. Dry tests for basic radicals .
II. Charcoal cavity test.
III. Flame test.
IV. Borax bead test ( for eoloured salt )
V. Wet test for basic radicals.
VI. Wet tests for acid radicals
C. Identification of the functional group of organic compounds
:-
I. -Carboxilic gp.
II. -OH ( Alcoholic gp)
III. –C- ( Ketonic gp)
IV. –C-H ( Aldehydic gp)
Project:-
1. Determination of the strength of oxalate in guava fruit at
different stages of its ripening.
OR
Determine the quantity of case in present in different
samples of milk.

MATHEMATICS PROJECT
1. Project on history of Mathematicians
i) Aryabhata ii) Ramanujan
2. Applications of vectors, three dimensional geometry, calculus
ect. In Mathematics and physics.
3. Make a chart of the formulae of applications of calculus.

ENGLISH PROJECT
 Prepare comprehensive project on the give topics :-
1. Rattrap OR My mother at sixty six
2. Importance of mother tongue OR Language chauvinism
HISTORY PROJECT
 Comparative analysis of the Land Revenue system introduced by
the Britishers in India.
 Cause and impact of the revolt of 1857.
 The history and culture of the Mauryan Empire.

GEOGRAPHY PROJECT
Prepare in practice copy of Geography of any three contents.
 Data and its different sources.
 Define the Mean, Mode and Median? The computianing
Median for grouped and ungrouped data with the example.
 Write the general rules for drawing Graphs, diagrams and
maps. Construction diagrams with the imaginary example.
 Use of Hardware and software computer in the making of Data
and Map.
 What is field Surveyed required? Explain its producers with the
example.
POLITICAL SCIENCE PROJECT
 Prepare Project on the given topics: -
 Suggestive topic.
1. Impact of Globalization.
2. India’s foreign Policy.
BUSINESS STUDIES PROJECT
1. Project one: -

ACCOUNTANCY PROJECT
 Prepare a comprehensive project on the method of valuation
