Tuesday, Relief class 2H On my first class, I introduce myself as practicum teacher. As I
28/3/2023 12.45pm – 1.45pm come into their class, I see some of them were completing their
mathematic activity book. I told them that I give them a few
minutes to finish the homework. After 15 minutes, I conduct the
class by introducing themselves to all of their friends (name and
any sport involved at school) till the end of the time.
Relief class 2T Came into the class, record student’s attendance. After that, I
3.30pm – 4.00pm introduce myself and ask them whether they have been seen me
in this school. I ask them whether they had their activities or task
to do, when the students said that they has their own work to be
done, I let them do their homework. My weaknesses is my voice
projection is very slow and do not have any idea on how to
entertain the students.
Wednesday, Relief class 1T In this class, I started to do activities that makes them know each
29/3/2023 12.45pm – 1.45pm other. At first I introduce myself as Cikgu Aimi. After that, begin
with the first student to introduce themselves and tell what they
like to do like whether they like working, painting etc. After that,
I do the activity called “Hangman”. I do the category of sport and
they need to guess the words that I ask.
Observe class Before class start, I approach Cikgu siti Aminah by telegram
1M/1N because she is too busy and always not available at Bilik Guru.

Then, she ask me to go to class 1M and wait for her. She

4.00pm – 4.30pm After that, I came to the class with Cikgu siti and after greetings
by pupils, I sat at the back of the class. I observe that the teacher
ask pupils to check the floor whether has rubbish and ask them to
pick up and throw to the bin immediately. Then, Cikgu Siti ask
them to open activity book and do discussion. Cikgu Siti form 7
groups and they do discussion for 5 minutes on title “the benefits
of effective communications”. After 5 minutes, representative of
each group read what they been discussed and share it to class.
Cikgu Siti also ask them to elaborate more and having discussion
with the whole class. Cikgu Siti also praise them and give
applause for those who read the points. At the end of class,
Cikgu siti summarize what she been teach and collect the paper
from every group as evidence of teaching and I came to the front
to introduce myself to the class and tell them that I will handle
this class started from next week.
I follow the teacher to Bilik Guru to get their name and details to
fill up Borang C and ask her a few question regarding on
teaching next week. I love how Cikgu Siti having some
discussion with the girls and it makes all of them need to works
to find the input for their group.
Thursday, Observe class Cikgu Siti introduce herself as class T never seen Cikgu Siti

2.10pm – 2.35pm this class, Cikgu Siti ask the girls to read on the topic of “
secondary sex and the changing of human body from physical
and emotional aspects”. After that, Cikgu Siti ask one of the
student to write the definition of secondary sex at whiteboard and
the aspects on physical and emotional aspects. Cikgu Siti also
held discussion with the class and let the one who write on
whiteboard to be a teacher ; call their friends name and give the
answer. Cikgu Siti also praise the students who stand up and give
their opinions. When teacher realize the time is running out, the
teacher lead the class and have two way communication with the
girls.
Observe class Cikgu Faizah enter the class and ask them “are you ready class”
1M/1N so that students become more prepared and ready to learn. Cikgu

4.30pm – 5.00pm them to put out notes book and jot down the input of the class.
Hence, Cikgu Faizah also implement the current issues regarding
the topic. As they are the form 1 students, they still do not know
how to write notes or important point to jot down, so Cikgu
Faizah assist them by telling them to shorten the words and
makes word that makes themselves easy to understand. After
that, Cikgu Faizah walk around the class and go to the students
who calls for her to ask questions.
Friday, Surveying the The day where I do not have any relief class, so I decided to go
31/3/2023 school facilities, to around the school and meet unfamiliar teacher and introduce

ourselves as practical teacher. we changed our opinion and
ourselves as
practical teacher to shared some stories about this school, previous practical students
senior teacher and many more. After that, I snap picture the facilities in school
for ROS report. I felt amazed because this school is very
advanced in terms of their facilities, the decorations and how big
this school can handle students around five thousand people.

Week 1 (3/4/2023 – 7/4/2023)

Monday, Relief class 1S Before start the class, I ask them to pick up the rubbish and

attendance. Then, I ask them to introduce themselves. After one
by one introduce themselves , I find that they did not know each
other and doesn’t care about their friends that come from other
class.
Relief class 1T As I do not have any class on Monday, I take over relief class for
3.00pm – 4.00pm an hour. I did enter this class last week and some of them
recognize me already and ask me to do some fun activity. I
decided to do dumb charades. I put categories which is some of
the words from “simpulan bahasa”. One person will be act in
front of the class and the rest of them need to guess the words
and I ask the meaning of the words as an additional learning and
knowledge for them. Afterall, some of them decided to sit and
just look the other active student trying to answer. Little did I
know. My weaknesses is I did not know the way to makes all of
them involve them as some of them decided to sit and juat watch
other students answering question. As I ask them to try answer
the question, they just said “I do not know”. Might be that my
approach is less interesting and might not cater all student’s
desire.
Tuesday, Teach class 1E/1F This is the first day 1 started teaching my real class which I teach
4/4/2023 3.00pm – 3.30pm all girls. The students tend to silence instead of making noise.
The class control would be challenging as I want to break the ice
between I and my students. They also did not know their friend
from other class too. I realize it too late and I think I will
improve the way I teach on next class. This first class gives many
challenging experience where there is so much more preparation
and analysing to do and should expected what happen next. So, I
keep on teaching likewise and try to walk around them to make
them comfortable. I also try to do two way communication
between us to break down the ice. by the time, I can handle my
nervous by keeping on asking about themselves when they
introduce themselves. I teach about “Sepak Raga Ratus” for these
one period. Its very challenging to teach theory about sport as it
not giving fully opportunity for them to try the sport and just
listen to our explanation also refer to textbooks. After finish
teach, I ask them to do activity book page 32(c). after finish the
exercise on book, I ask them to recap back what have been
learned just know. They need to write as simple word as they
can, but they still write the words from textbook. I bet they did
not know how to simplify the words.
Teach class 1M/1N In this class, I teach for 2 period. At first I get to used on
4.30pm – 5.25pm controlling the class by telling them to keep quiet and look at the
floor if there is any rubbish and I told them to pick it and throw it
immediately. Firstly, students are not in the mood of learning
because it come to the end of the school time. But then, I keep on
asking them and they tend to get involve well to the learning. I
bring 4 frisbee disc into the class and give each row one disc. I
warn them just to hold the disc and try to hold it. Unfortunately,
one of the students trying to fly the disc and nearly hit the other
students. I just so shocked and feel blessed that students is okay
and I mad to her and asked her to answer my question regarding
the lessons. From this class, I find that students are a bit difficult
to control especially when they feel excited with something that
can be play (disc). From that I learnt that being a teacher really
need high patience and professionals to control our anger and
stay alert with surrounding to make sure all students are in care.
