Narrative Report in Practice Teaching

as a Pre Service Teacher at BPNHS (WEEK 1)

I started my first week on the last week of a February starting from the
26th day of month. I don’t know whether I feel excited or nervous because
finally, I will be able to experience they called the “real world”.
In my first day as Pre Service Teacher at Bukay Pait National High
School. We are excited to know who is our cooperating teacher (CT) so
before we start that day we go to the Conference Hall to have a orientation to
know what are the rules of the schools. And then to know who is our
Cooperating Teacher Fides Marie H. Castillon the Guidance Councilor have to
draw lots. Each of us are nervous with excitement to know who is the teacher.
As I open my paper to know who is my CT I’m happy to know that Ma’am
Kathrynn Langub is my Cooperating Teacher. I go to her classroom and then I
told her that I was the one who assigned to her as a Practice Teacher. Before
starting that day she gave me her lesson so that I can study the topic. In the
afternoon I started to teach the Grade 9 Argon students they are 5 present in
the class so I think I have no class but my CT told me that I need to teach the
students. Next class is the Grade 8 Amethyst the students are very energetic
so in my class discussion the students are very participative so the flow of our
lesson is not difficult and they are ready to learn their lesson. And at exactly
4:00 pm we go home and that’s end my first day as a Pre Service Teacher.
February 27, 2024 my second day as Pre Service Teacher I go to
school early because my first class is 7:15 am so that I’m not to be late.
Before I started my class in Grade 9 Silver which is the advisory of my CT I
ask her about the lesson that I am going to tackl. And to start the class Ma’am
Kathrynn introduce me to her students. I started to teach I’m very nervous and
shy to talk in front of the students because this is one of my weaknesses to
speak in the public but in that situation I can manage it. In this I day started of
a busy we go to the conference room to do a lesson plan and other paper
work to finish. In the afternoon at exactly 1:00 pm I have to go at Grade 9
Argon to have a class. Every room have a differences of a students
understanding since this section called a potential or the late bloomers I need
to be patient to them so that if the they can understand well. You need to
explain the way of using hiligaynon to understand what you are talking about.
In this day I learn more about the attitudes of a students and being thankful to
my CT for guiding me.
February 28, 2024 my third day at BPNHS as I go early in the school
first I go to guidance office and have a time in then I go to the classroom.
Before I started my class with greetings ang checking of the attendance. I
tackled their lesson and have a activity. Our third day is so stressful because
of the paperworks of school. As usual I’m doing a discussion and activity in
every section and year that I assign. And then if I have a vacant we do our
school paper works to be pass on Friday. And every afternoon I talk to my CT
about my lesson plan to be check by her and make it right about what is
wrong. At 4 pm we go home.
In February 29, 2024 our fourth day in the school of BPNHS at 7:10 am
as usual I do is to log in and go to the room and have a class. Before I started
my class my CT told her students about if they already finish their school
chores. So, the students have to clean and then to checked their activity that
we didn’t finish last meeting and then gave them a surprise quiz so that I can
evaluate them if they are already understand their lesson. In this day I know
that every Thursday is their assessment day and I have to give them a quiz in
every section. So before that end of the day the Principal called some of the
Pre Service Teacher to have a meeting and they raise their concerns. So I
can’t attend because I have a class so I come late to the office. And they
spread what’s about their meeting and then talk about their struggles by doing
the lesson plan because of the loaded subject.
