Task Performance: Digital Reflection

I. Introduction
This task will require each group member to audit his/her online behavior. A log will be
kept to
monitor the amount of time spent online. The group will then compare their online
behavior within
the group and decide whether the said behavior is typical of people their age. The group
will also
reflect if their online behavior is responsible and appropriate. After establishing the extent
of their
online behavior, the students will then take the offline challenge to deter
mine whether they can stay
offline for 24 hours.

4. Keep in mind that the log must be HONEST reflection on your online behavior, not an
answer to what you believe should be seen in the task performance.

. TASK B. ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION.

1. Did you time spent online differ from your estimate?

ANSWER: Yes because in my observation I thought I’m spending more time on using mobile
phone during day time but it turned out that I spend more time in night time till the rest of
the day.

2. Were you surprised by the difference?

ANSWER: Yes, I was a little surprised by the difference.

3. Do you think the chart offers a true account of your online behavior?

ANSWER: I think so. I’m not so sure about that.

4. Do you think you should change your online behavior? Give reasons to explain your decision.

ANSWER: My online behavior has changed significantly from how I used to behave because now I
spend more time than ever using my phone and checking my social media accounts, which makes
my life unhealthy by preventing me from getting enough sleep, eating at the right time, and getting
out of bed to do things that are more important. In light of this, I do believe that I need to make
changes to my online behavior.
. TASK C
Compare your completed chart with your groupmates. What conclusion can you draw
about the online behavior of people your age?

ASNWER: Nowadays, most people my age are more reliant on technology or any social media
platforms, and they feel more comfy posting any stupid things to their social media accounts. They
have forgotten that their actions have consequences, and acting carelessly online could harm the
people they interact with. We must be mindful of how we operate online to ensure that we are being
respectful and attentive of our digital footprint.

TASK D
How long could you probably last without digital technology? Explain your response.

ANSWER: Yes, As long as I have hobbies like outdoor activities and things that might exercise
both my physical body and my mental state, I can probably go three days without technology
or the internet. I will continue to live independently of the current technology we now have
as long as I have the resources to go three days without access to the modern world and as
long as I have a ton of things planned. One additional point is that I'll need company on that
challenge because it's more enjoyable to engage with others in real life, resulting in more
satisfying and enjoyable interactions.

TASK E
1. Each group member must spend 24 hours offline. Plan everything ahead of time.
Inform your family members and friends that you will be doing so. Each member
must keep a log of the activities that will be done for the day. Use Appendix b to
accomplish this.
2. After carrying out task E, answer the questions in Appendix B.
III. Tabulation
After carrying out the tasks, collate and tabulate the group data. Use graphs to interpret the
results of your tasks. Sample charts are shown in Appendix C. Provide a conclusion/reflection
for the outcome of your tasks.

IV. Presentation
The group will present the results of their accomplished tasks through a PowerPoint
presentation on the first session of week 10. The PowerPoint presentation must have the
following parts:
● Introduction/ Background: importance of the study, who will benefit from it, what
can be done with the results of the study.
● Data and results: data in graphs to compare individual members online behavior
● Conclusion/Reflection: realizations, suggestions, recommendations
