Descriptive Design For Artists and Devs

1. Question 01 :
Create a new event for our game 'Bubble Shooter Classic'.
Answer :
Overview - Bubble Tetris introduces a captivating blend of classic Tetris gameplay with the
dynamics of a bubble shooter. This event aims to provide players with a strategic
puzzle-solving experience to enhance overall player engagement.
Mechanics -
● Grid Layout
The level will be set up in a grid-based layout to adopt a tetris-inspired grid which
will be iconic. The player has to clear the rows and columns of bubbles by
strategically placing incoming bubbles.
● Bubble Queue
A queue of 3 bubbles will show players the preview of the incoming bubbles.
● Bubble Matching & Combination
The players will need to match the certain set of bubble in a set i.e. a set 3 same
colors
● Difficulty Curve
The difficulty loop will be gradually increased preferably till the first 25-30 levels will
be in easy mode then the difficulty will start to increase as the player will be able to
adapt to this gameplay experience after 15 something levels.
Game Loop -
● Introduction
Bubble Tetris will be introduced as an engaging limited timed event at first but based
on the response can be introduced as a separate game mode.
● Match
The gameplay experience will be based on level based segmentation where the players
will be subject to clusters of bubbles which will be slowly moving downwards after a
set interval of time and the player has to clear the level before the cluster of bubbles
reach the bottom.
● Integration with existing Mechanics
Bubble Tetris integrates all the existing mechanics with the power-ups and boosters
with one added mechanic which forces the cluster of bubbles downwards.
● Scoring System
The Scoring System of Bubble Tetris is defined in a way similar to the existing system
as clearing bubbles will provide the points, also same with remaining bubbles after
clearing the level. It also includes the remaining time in the equation where based on
an equation the remaining time will also provide points and will be calculated in the
final score.
Game Play -
The gameplay experience of Bubble Tetris is pretty much the same with a sense
of added urgency where the player will rush to finish it faster as the cluster moves
downwards after a fixed interval of time.
Monetization -
Regarding the monetization part, the gameplay experience will be somewhat
dependent on the power-ups as the player will be needing them to clear the level faster.
It is expected to see a increase in the purchase of power-ups and booster through either
in-app purchases or rewarded ads
2. Question 02 :
Give descriptions and mockups to explain the event to the artists.
Answer :
The art style will be following the original game as any changes in the art style might
impact the overall experience of the game.
We will be moving forward with the same art style with slight innovations to make the
interface feel slightly similar to tetris.
Recommendations for the design team will be that they keep the same art style but take
the art element for the event to slightly have a retro looking feel but don't change the existing art
style completely as this will be helpful and invoke the familiarity of the players toward initial games
that came out as tetris in the retro consoles.
Depending on the sample, we can make a better decision to check if we will be proceeding
in this direction.
I will add the wireframe and the references with the document. So, please provide sample
art that you can come up with based on the data given.

clear the level. But these special levels come with a slightly added touch where
the cluster of bubbles moves downwards after a set interval of time.
So, it is highly recommended to clear as fast as possible to get better rewards.

cluster of bubble reach the bottom before the player is able to clear the level then
it will be considered as game over also if the player is not able to clear the level
and the player runs out of moves will also be considered as game over.
