1. Back Plate
The back plate of a dial combination padlock is typically the metal plate located in
between of the back cover and lock the position the position of the other components.
2. Back Cover
The back cover is the metal plate located at the back of the lock body that covers all
the internal components of the locking mechanism.
3. Locking Latch
A locking latch is an essential component of a dial combination padlock. It is the part
of the lock mechanism that keeps the shackle locked in place until the correct
combination is entered. When the correct combination is entered, the dial turns a cam
that rotates the locking latch, releasing the shackle and allowing the lock to be
opened.
4. Lever
The lever is a mechanism that engages with the shackle to keep it locked in place. The
lever is typically a flat piece of metal that is attached to the locking latch, which is
rotated by the correct combination entered on the dial.
5. Lever Spring
A small spring that applies pressure to the locking lever to keep it in place until the
correct combination is entered. The lever spring is typically a small, coiled spring that
is located inside the lock body, near the locking latch.
6. Inner Case
The inner case is a metal casing or housing that encloses the internal components of
the locking mechanism, and it is typically made of metal and is designed to provide
protection for the internal components of the lock, as well as to prevent tampering or
forced entry.
7. Spring
Springs are a common component in the locking mechanism of a dial combination
padlock. These springs are typically used to provide tension and to ensure that the
various components of the lock operate smoothly and reliably.
8. Shackle
The shackle is the U-shaped metal piece that slides into the hasp or loop of the object
being secured. The shackle is typically made of hardened steel or another strong metal
to resist cutting or sawing.
9. Outer Case
Outer case is the outermost metal casing or housing that provides protection for the
internal components of the locking mechanism, such as the combination dial, locking
latch, and spring.
10. Disc Shaft

The disc shaft is the component that connects the combination dial to the internal
locking mechanism. It is a cylindrical metal rod that extends from the back of the
combination dial and is inserted through the combination wheels and locking lever
into the inner case of the padlock.

11. Lever Shaft

The lever shaft is the component that connects the locking lever to the internal locking
mechanism. It is a cylindrical metal rod that extends from the bottom of the locking
lever and is inserted through the inner case of the padlock.

12. Cam 58 and 20

The cam is a component that rotates and interacts with the shackle to secure or release
it. It is a curved or angled metal piece that is located on the bottom of the shackle or
on the internal mechanism of the padlock.

13. Spacer
A spacer is a thin metal or plastic component that is used to separate and align the
combination wheels within the locking mechanism. It is typically a flat disc or ring-
shaped piece that is inserted between the combination wheels to ensure they rotate
smoothly and accurately.
14. Combination Dial

The combination dial is the component that allows the user to enter the correct
combination to unlock the padlock. It is usually a circular disc that rotates around the
centre of the padlock and is marked with numbers or other symbols.

15. Shackle Guide

The shackle guide padlock is a component that helps to guide the shackle into the
locking mechanism when the user is closing and locking the padlock. It is typically a
narrow metal or plastic piece that is located inside the body of the padlock and
aligned with the shackle opening.
