Subject: Application for Ireland Multiple entry study permit.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I Samir Ahmed (bearing Bangladeshi passport no BL0335503) is contacting you regarding an Irish
student Visa which I require in order to further carry out my studies in one of your institutes. I have
been offered a place for First year Civil Engineering programme in Dundalk Institute of Technology,
Co Louth, Ireland which is to commence in 10th of Sept 2018. I have also been provided a
scholarship worth 3000 Euro and a free accommodation from the Institute as well. Dundalk has
provided me a medical insurance which I have paid fully along with my Fees.

I have completed my A levels and alongside I have successfully completed my International Diploma
in Mechanical engineering from INTO Queens University Belfast which a pathway programme course
equivalent to doing a First year in University. Then I was a student in Queens University Belfast from
29th of Sept 2014 to 21 st of Feb 2017 studying Mechanical Engineering but unfortunately did not
graduate because I did not pass in one of the mandatory modules. I was provided a UK
Visa/Biometric Residence Permit from 04-12-2014 until 09-07-2017. I returned to Bangladesh on 09-
03-2017 before the date of expiry of my visa. Since my return, I had to take year study gap because I
missed the university application deadline for the year 2017 since most university only have
academic years starting in September and there application deadlines way ahead so therefore I had
to wait an entire year just to re-apply again.

I want to study is civil engineering because it is high in demand in Bangladesh due to the ever
increasing growth of housing and transport infrastructure. Graduating with a BEng in Civil
Engineering from Dundalk Institute of Technology will allow me to attain the necessary skills and
experience which will allow me to seek employment in the future efficiently. I also have plans to
complete my masters in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering.

My sponsor for my academic years will be my Mother Mrs. Murshida Begum bearing Bangladeshi
passport no. BE0745758 who is financially sound and has the capability to fund me during my stay in
Ireland without no recourse to public funds. She is currently holds the right the collect rent from
properties based in 28/I, Shegun Bagicha, Dhaka- 1000. Her gross monthly income is around the
region BDT 115,000. My father Bashir Ahmed is also present to give me financial support as he owns
an electronic shop in Baitul Mukaram Market in my home country with gross monthly income of BDT
1,00,000/-.

I hereby promise that, I will observe the conditions of my visa and that I will not become a burden on
the State, and that I will leave the State on the expiration of my permission to remain.

Yours Sincerely,

Samir Ahmed
