- Đối với so sánh hơn: cái gì hơn cái gì

VD: Con chim bay nhanh hơn con vẹt
tính từ ngắn+ er
S1 + tobe + more+ tínhtừ dài + than + S2 +O

He is shorter than his brother

 Từ “than”: hơn ( more than: nhiều hơn, less than: ít hơn)

 Các tính từ ngắn có 1 âm tiết và các trường hợp như: quiet, clever,
happy, funny, narrow, friendly, easy ( khi chia thì thêm ‘er’)
 Các tính từ dài gồm 2 âm tiết trở lên, khi chia thêm “More” phía
trước
- Đối với so sánh hơn nhất: Cái gì …. Nhất
VD: Con cá kiếm bơi nhanh nhất trong đại dương
tínhtừ ngắn+ est
S+ tobe + the + Most +tính từ dài + O

She is the most beautiful girl in the class

 Trong câu ko có từ “than” => câu là so sánh hơn nhất

 Trong câu so sánh hơn nhất chỉ có 1 chủ ngữ
- So sánh bằng: cái gì bằng cái gì
VD: Anh trai cô ấy thì thông minh bằng cô ấy
S1 + tobe + as + tính từ + as + S2

She is as smart as her brother

 Từ “as” : như là, bằng
 So sánh bằng tính từ ko chia nhưng phải luôn đi kèm “as” theo cấu
trúc “as + tính từ + as”
 Nhận định câu là so sánh bằng, so sánh hơn nhất hay so sánh hơn:
 Nếu có 1 chủ ngữ duy nhất => so sánh hơn nhất ( luôn phải có the
trong so sánh hơn nhất)
 Nếu có 2 chủ ngữ kèm từ “than”=> so sánh hơn ( luôn phải có
“than” trong so sánh hơn)
- Các tính từ đặc biệt ko theo quy tắc cần lưu ý:
Tính từ So sánh hơn So sánh hơn nhất
 Many/much: nhiều more most

Far : xa Farther/further Fathest/ furthest

Old: cũ, già Older/elder Oldest/eldest

Good : tốt better best
Bad : xấu, tồi tệ Worse Worst
Little: Ít, nhỏ bé Less least
