Dear Parent/ Guardian,
The Social Studies Department of Mackenzie High School is planning a field trip around Linden
for Level 7 & Level 8 on the 23rd November, 2023 and 24th November, 2023 respectively. The
aim of this trip is to observe Tourism Month and to augment the curriculum taught in the
classroom. The objectives are:
1. For the students to be familiar with the location of historical landmarks.
2. For the students to observe the physical features (e.g. Rock formation and water erosion)
of the places to be visited.
The proposed places to be visited are Bamia, Blue Lake, the Water Wheel, Cenotaph and
Richmond Hill. Departure time will be 8:30 am from Mackenzie High School. The return and
drop-off time is expected to be 2:15 pm at Mackenzie High School.
The proposed cost of the trip is $1000 per child to cover the transportation. Each child is
expected to walk with his/her snack, water and juice, since there will not be any stops to buy
anything.
