B. INTRODUCTION
1. Review
Why is it important to use the correct
measuring tool for body measurements?
What are the things to consider when
measuring body parts?
How can you take body measurements
accurately?
2. Motivation
A good design must have a harmonious
combination of all the design elements and
principles, making it more appealing to the
clients. In this activity, each group will roll a
dice and answer the corresponding question.
C. INTERACTION
1. Development of Knowledge
After the process of obtaining the body
measurement of your client, it is time for you to
specify the design of the product. In the garment
industry, a design specification sheet, also known as
tech pack, is used to communicate the entire details
about the product from the designer to the tailor or
seamstress. This is important in order to limit the
errors on the product to be manufactured.
2. Exploration
Actual Sewing (Time Frame – 2 weeks)
Draft and sew your own pattern of pajama using your
own body measurements.
Criteria:
Preparation - 15%
Speed - 20%
Cleanliness - 15%
Accuracy of work - 50%
