 what is flag?

Flag is a menstrual tracking system that includes a mobile

application and a pair of period pants (flagwear) with built-
in sensors to help users monitor their menstrual cycle. The
app enables users to track their cycle, symptoms, and
receive personalized advice based on their menstrual cycle.
The period pants track the user's menstrual flow, providing
real-time data while being comfortable and discreet. Flag
helps users easily identify potential issues, and provides
valuable data for research in one's health.

✦ Why flag?

The need for Flag stems from the fact that many people experience irregular or
unpredictable menstrual cycles, which can make it difficult to track changes in
their menstrual health. This can lead to missed oppor tunities for early detection
and treatment of health issues such as PCOS, endometriosis, and more.

The current traditional methods of menstrual tracking such as calendar tracking

or even period tracking apps can be overload (to manually put in information),
imprecise and inaccurate, leading to fur ther confusion and frustration for those
seeking to manage their menstrual health. Flag provides a comprehensive solution
to these issues by leveraging technology using micro sensors embed on fabrics
(electronic textiles) to detect and provide accurate and real-time data that can
be easily accessed and understood by users.
