Ad Dayyan - The Judge
Ad Dayyan - The Judge
Ad-Dayyan
The Judge
He is The One Who settles the scores (He gives the rights back to the person who
was wronged by another by punishing the wrongdoer and rewarding the wronged
person) between the people, whether in this life or the hereafter. No one will be
left without receiving his due rights and without giving the rights he had to give.
The meaning of Dayyan includes six matters which all together make up a process:
1. The obeyed master: no one can give rights except someone who has authority
(the power to control or demand obedience from others)
2
4. The accountant: He counts every thing we do and everything that happens in this world
5. The recompenser (the One who gives rewards or punishments): who settles, who gives
rewards in return for the good deeds we did.
The Ruler
Allah is The Ruler Who sets the rules and laws. When we perform one good deed, it will be
rewarded 10 times to 700 times to no limit. And one sin is accounted as one evil deed. It is
Allah Who sets this.
Anyone who does one tiny bit of good, even the size of a grain of salt will see it and anyone
who does one tiny bit of bad will see it.

THE ACCOUNTANT
This is in the hereafter. Allah is The One Who accounts (keeps track of everything we have
done, good or bad) us on the Day of Judgement. Allah never forgets anything we have done;
He counts everything and is quick to account. He accounts everyone at the same on the Day
of Judgement and He will separate between them. The Good Muslims will be on one side,
going to Jannah, and the bad Muslims and non muslims will be on the other side, going to Hell.
5.THE JUDGE
After His decision, He will reward who will enter paradise and who will enter the hellfire. He
will settle the scores (give the final decision between the mean person and the innocent one)
between everyone, even between the believer and disbeliever. Allah will gather all the slaves
and He will call on them all and say, “I am the King, I am Ad Dayyaan”.
There are concepts such as “what goes around, comes around” or “karma”, but it is Allah Ad
Dayyaan Who recompenses (rewards or punishes) good for good and bad for bad. There is a
story of man who helped bring down a cat that was stuck in a tree, and immediately he later
received a call that his son was stuck in a tree, but was brought down safely. And the opposite
6
is true, anyone who oppresses others or does magic to separate between husband and wife, it
will come back to them or their children. Anyone who spreads mischief or plots, it will return
back against him. Anyone who makes fun of others, then he will be made fun of or his
children. If anyone oppresses a servant, he will find his son will become a servant to another.
There are many stories which no one can mistake that Allah rewards good for good and evil
for evil.
A person can enter the hellfire because of how we deals with others, even animals. A lady
entered the hellfire for locking up a cat and not feeding it. Allah took the rights for the cat,
though a cat has no paradise, but it is a creature of Allah and belongs to Him.
Similarly, Allah admitted a person to paradise for quenching the thirst of a dog.
The believers will even settle the scores between each other before they can enter paradise
and this is the station of Qantara before paradise. For this reason we want to pardon all and
not oppress anyone so that we are not held back at Qantara. Anyone who has oppressed
others will be held back and his good deeds will be taken from him and if he runs out of good
deeds then he will take the sins of the one whom he oppressed. Then his good deeds will all
run out and his bad deeds will have increased considerably, since he got other people’s share
as well, who he used to treat badly.
7
Whoever takes the properties or wealth of others unjustly in this world, Allah will give the power to
someone who will take his wealth and properties. And whoever humiliates others, Allah will send
someone who will humiliate him. Often in life, when we have done bad to others, then someone will do
bad with us, and then we’ll realise how bad it feels.
Therefore, whoever has oppressed (governed in an unfair and cruel way and prevented from
having opportunities and freedom) another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg
him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong
deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to the oppression
which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded unto him.
