I have taken some great courses this semester and I have worked on some very interesting

assignments but two that stood out to me were publishing a web page for Web page design and

management, and a research essay on trends in information behavior over the last decade for

Information behaviors. I felt that I not only learned the most from these two assignments, but that

they helped prepare me for a future career in the field.

The web page I published for Web page design and management, was done using

FileZilla, which is a software I had never used before, and I used coding techniques which I was

not familiar with. I enjoyed further building upon my html skills and being able to use a new

program helped me develop a more complete knowledge on the topic. These are skills that are

very prominent in the job market, and I feel that this assignment helped prepare me for future

jobs working with technology as it is a big part of information science.

The research essay on information behavior trends was also very beneficial as it gave me

a good view into how constant change occurs in a field that advances so quickly. Information

technology is so dependent on innovation that it makes sense that it can be difficult to stay ahead

of the curve. I feel like this assignment gave me a great change of mindset and helped me change

my approach for future work within information sciences.

Overall, this semester has been a very great experience and has given me a lot to take

with me into my future in the field. While these two assignments stood out, all the work I have

done this semester has been very interesting and helped me work on important skills.
