Dear Publisher,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to you as a student of Longhill High School,
regarding a matter that I consider to be of great importance and that I would like to raise in
your prestigious newspaper.

I would like to express my disagreement and concern regarding the current dress code in our
school. In my opinion, this code imposes unreasonable and arbitrary restrictions on how
students are to dress. I consider that this limits our freedom of expression and goes against the
principles of individuality and diversity that should be promoted in an educational
environment.

I understand that the school seeks to establish an atmosphere of discipline and

professionalism, but I firmly believe that the way we dress should not be a reason for excessive
control by the institution. This restriction of clothing freedom negatively affects our personal
and creative development, and prevents us from expressing our unique identity.

Additionally, an overemphasis on uniformity can contribute to the creation of a homogeneous

environment, where students feel pressured to conform and lose confidence in their ability to
make decisions. This can be detrimental to their social and emotional development.

I suggest that a review of the current dress code be made, taking into account the opinions
and concerns of the students. I believe that a balance could be struck between the need for a
suitable learning environment and respect for the individuality of each student. More flexible
and less restrictive alternatives could be considered, such as general dress guidelines instead
of a strict uniform.

I thank you in advance for your attention and consideration in this matter. I hope that my
opinion, along with that of other students who share this concern, can spark a constructive
discussion and thoughtful review of the Longhill High School dress code.
