FS News
The children had a wonderful day on Thursday dressed
as their favourite book character. Thank you so much for
all your efforts.

Physical Development
This week, we will continue to develop our fine and
gross motor skills. You will participate in a variety of
activities in class throughout the week, including
‘Dough Disco’, exercises and practising our cutting
skills, as well as having our weekly PE lesson.
Maths
This week, we will be recapping all the maths
concepts that the children have looked at so far and
seeing if there are any gaps in learning that we need
to revisit.
Literacy.
This week, we will be continuing
the topic of dinosaurs. We will
be looking at the different types
of dinosaurs and making our
own class dinosaur out of junk
modelling. We will be reading a
variety of stories, as well as non-
fiction texts and the children will
be using their phonic knowledge
to read and write sentences.

Phonics.
In phonics, we will be recapping all the phonemes we
have learnt so far, and practising qu. We will be
revisiting our tricky
words and learning
new ones.
Communication and Language
We will be discussing ideas and
collaborating to create our class
dinosaur.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
We will be discussing perseverance and team work,
as we make our class dinosaur together. We will be
reflecting on things that we found difficult and
strategies that can help us to overcome challenge.
Expressive Arts and Design
This week, we will be creating a class dinosaur made
out of junk modelling. We need to plan it, decide
what type, shape, height. Will it have a long neck?
No neck? Will it have spikes?
Teeth? Tail? How long will
the tail be? Do we need to
paint it? Use collage paper?
. Understanding the World
. This week, we will continue to
. be talking about dinosaurs and
using what we have learnt so
far, to create our own dinosaur.
