K-Pop Star Begs Fans to Stop Sending Him Food

Korean pop star Jungkook enjoys a lot of devotion from his fans. But he really wants
them to stop one thing — sending food to his home.
In a post on fan app Weverse that was translated into English, he said: "Don't send
home delivery food. I won't eat it even if you give it to me. I'm thankful but I eat
well. You can buy it yourself. I beg you." He added that he would "take action" if it
happens again.
Some fans have previously discussed Jungkook looking too thin online.
BTS fans call themselves "ARMY," and are known for their devotion to the band. But
the stars have sometimes had to ask them to respect their private lives.
In Korea, the most obsessive fans are known as "sasaeng fans" and they often try to
invade the private lives of their favorite stars.
In March, Jungkook asked fans to stop going to his gym while he was exercising,
while in 2019 his home address was posted online.
BTS is one of the world's most popular music groups, and the band's Instagram
page has more than 73 million fans. But Jungkook has also enjoyed success of his
own.
In November 2022, he sang his song "Dreamers" at the men's soccer World Cup in
Qatar. It also became the top song on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart —
Jungkook's second song to do so.
