WHAT IS CREATIVITY?

• Creativity can be defined as ‘the tendency to generate or


recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful
in solving problems in a smarter way’
OR
• Creativity can be defined as ‘the ability to come up with new
ideas and to identify new and different ways of looking at a
problem and opportunities’
HOW TO BE CREATIVE?

• Creativity cannot be activated overnight. It is a long process when


a person desires to do things in a different way.

• You might have heard:


• Urdu: ‘Zarurat Ijad(Invention) ki Maa(mother) hai.’
• English: ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’
HOW TO BE CREATIVE?
• In order to be creative, you have to change your way of thinking.

• Be very very keen observer.

• Observe, what procedures, what opportunities are lying in the


market.

• Don’t just think of Horizon, Think beyond Horizon.

• : A person discovers that a new
opportunity exists or a problem needs resolution.

• : The individual concentrates on the problem and


2 becomes immersed in it. He/she will collect every possible
information that seems relevant.

• : In this process, a person keeps the assembled
3 information for a while. He/she may seems not working on it, but
his mind is still engaged. In Urdu words, ‘Khichri pakna’

• : The problem-conquering solution flashes into a person’s

4 mind at an expected time such as on a verge of sleep, during a


shower or while any other work. This stage can also be called as
the Aha! Or Alaad!

• Verification and Application: In this process, a person first verify


5 the opportunity and then moves towards the application.

• Innovation is the implementation of new ideas at the individual,


group or organizational level.
