1. a) [CO1] A vibrating system consisting of mass of 0.5kg and spring with stiffness 300N/m starts (05)
with an initial amplitude of y0= 0.01 m and initial velocity of y’0= 0.5m/s. Calculate
Natural period of vibration, Natural Circular Frequency of vibration, amplitude,
velocity, acceleration.
b) A system in Fig. having k1=k2=8 x 104 N/m and k3=3 x 105 N/m (05)
and m=250kg. Determine natural frequency and natural period
of vibration.
