Kemala Mayliana disagrees with hoaxes for several reasons. Hoaxes are deliberately fabricated falsehoods meant to masquerade as the truth, which can influence and mislead people. They are often created to persuade people of unsupported facts and can cause hatred and conflict in communities. Hoaxes can also be dangerous in societies with low levels of literacy, as those populations can be more easily manipulated. Overall, hoaxes spread misinformation and prevent people from accessing reliable facts.

advanced to the spreading of information, we either become easy or fast to get and share the information. As its rapid spreading, the reliability of its content and origin somehow become vulnerable because everyone is freely allowed to share the content. The free-share content of information often leads to disinformation. That kind of disinformation is called hoaxes. Wikipedia defines a hoax as “a deliberately fabricated falsehood made to masquerade as truth.” The Oxford English Dictionary adds another aspect by defining a hoax as “a humorous or mischievous deception.” Thus, according to the definition and intertwined to the question, I disagree with hoax. There are reasons behind my disagreement with hoaxes. The main cause is because the effects its affected. Hoaxes are usually shared by those who have specific intention as an attempt to influence others. My disagreement with hoax is because the shared information is created to persuade people that things that are unsupported by facts are true. For example, the person responsible for the celebrity-death story has created a hoax. Furthermore, hoaxes can also cause hatred and conflict in community. For instance, we can see this phenomenon during the presidential campaign. There are lots of information we get (from internet or social medias) about the wrong information about one candidate or vice versa. In this case, it could influence its supporters and lead to discordance. The hoaxes also could spread in any circumstance to deliberately influence the people whether to change their point of view or make conflict among them. They could be suspicious to each other, blaming each other, and considering that their stance is the best among all. Besides, hoaxes can also be more dangerous in a society where its reading literacy ability is low. Society with low reading literacy could be easily manipulated and believe to the information they get, even though they have not conceived yet about the truth of the information. In summary, I strongly disagree to hoaxes. Because of it, we do not get the right information, where no one has the accountability and responsibility of the shared information. Thus, as the technology keep on widely evolving rapidly, it means there is possibility of getting new information any easier and even faster in the near future. For that uncontrollable thing what we can do is to enhance our capability to read accordingly to an information, then choose the right information to share, understand the conformity of the content, and wisely share the information to others who need.
