The aim of this report is to give a brief overview of classes I taught to my students: Ruben and

Isabel in October.

First of all, Ruben’s level is B1+. He is a very attentive and motivated student. Currently, I am
making use of two books with him: Cambridge Business Vocabulary in Use Intermediate level and
Business Benchmark Upper-Intermediate level. In the beginning, we focused on refreshing his
memory of types of job and types of work. What is more, we did vocabulary related to ways of
working in addition to nature of work e.g. (My work involves solving problems, dealing with
customers/ human contact etc.). At the end of the month, Ruben was presented with material about
recruitment, applying for a job and selection procedures as well as vocabulary regarding skills and
qualifications i.e. (skilled, unskilled).

Secondly, Isabel’s level is B1. She has been very enthusiastic about improving her speaking skills
and learning new vocabulary. During our classes, I made use of only one book: Cambridge Exam
booster for First. We focused on several grammar rules from Unit 1 in the book: the present tenses,
verb+ noun collocations, adjectives + preposition, verb patterns as well as commonly confused
words. Moreover, we did vocabulary exercises concerning travel and holidays, hobbies and leisure
in addition to science and technology.

In conclusion, both Isabel and Ruben greatly enjoyed learning and studying the new material in
October.
