from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas in relation to its culture
and geography; Identifies the musical instruments and other sound sources
from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas; Discovers ways of
producing sounds on a variety of sources similar to instruments being studied

Learning across curriculum:

1) Social Studies: Students will study the cultures and geography of Cordillera,
Mindoro, Palawan, and the Visayas to understand the context of the music from
these regions.

2) Geography: Students will analyze the geographical features of Cordillera,


Mindoro, Palawan, and the Visayas and how they influence the music and
instruments of these regions.

3) History: Students will explore the historical background of Cordillera, Mindoro,


Palawan, and the Visayas to understand the evolution of their music and
instruments.

Review Motivation:

1) Brainstorming: Ask students to share what they know about the music and
instruments from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan, and the Visayas. Encourage them to
ask questions and express their curiosity.

2) Picture Analysis: Show images of traditional musical instruments from each region
and ask students to identify them and discuss their possible sounds and uses.

ANALYSIS:

Activity 1 - Students successfully identified and described the musical instruments


from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan, and the Visayas. They demonstrated an
understanding of the cultural significance of these instruments.

Activity 2 - Students creatively explored sound production using everyday objects


and made connections to the instruments they studied. They showed collaboration
and active participation in the activity.

ABSTRACTION:

Through these activities, students developed an understanding of the distinguishing


characteristics of representative music from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan, and
Visayas in relation to their culture and geography. They also identified the musical
instruments and other sound sources from these regions and discovered ways of
producing sounds on a variety of sources similar to the instruments being studied.
This knowledge deepened their understanding of the cultural and geographical
context of the music.

APPLICATION:

Task 1 - Students will create a map or infographic that highlights the geographical
features and cultural aspects of Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan, and the Visayas. They
will label important locations and describe the musical traditions associated with
each region.

Task 2 - Students will compose a short piece of music inspired by the representative
music from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan, or the Visayas. They will perform their
composition using available musical instruments or sound sources.
