E-Governance Performance
6. How would you contrast developed and developing countries' e-governance systems?
• Developed countries often have well-established and robust technological
infrastructure including high-speed Internet access, widespread digital literacy, and
modern data centers. Developing countries face challenges in terms of limited
access to technology, digital infrastructure, and reliable Internet connectivity.
Citizens in developed countries are generally more digitally literate and have
easier access to digital devices and the internet, making it easier for governments to
provide online services. There is often a significant digital divide, with urban areas
having better access to technology and digital services than rural regions in
developing countries.
Developed countries typically have more financial resources to invest in e-
governance initiatives, which can lead to advanced and innovative services.
Developing countries have limited financial resources to invest in e-governance,
which can affect the scope and quality of services.
