aligning our experiences with the National Competency-Based Teacher

Standards (NCBTS). Each lesson's embedded learning experiences are

crafted to create meaningful and rewarding encounters, ensuring that

students derive joy from both teaching and learning.

This Field Study 2 portfolio explores how the practical and exciting

dimensions of field study contribute to building a robust educational

foundation. The focus spans observation and participation, lesson

planning and delivery, classroom management, reflection and feedback,

assessment and evaluation, inclusive education, as well as collaboration

and professionalism.

Moreover, it serves as your passport to a deeper understanding of the

subjects you're passionate about. Together, let's embark on this

exploration and uncover the connections between classroom learning and

real-world applications.

Message for Classmates

vi
To my fellow classmates,
I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the friendships we have forged from our
Teacher Certificate Program 1 (TCP-1) journey through TCP-2. Meeting new,
amazing people whom I now consider classmates and friends has been a
pleasure. Balancing work and education are no easy feat, but I take pride in our
collective ability to persevere. Despite the exhaustion from work, we found the
time to attend classes and complete all assigned tasks. I hold the hope that each
one of us can realize our dreams and emerge as successful educators in the
future. Success, in our context, means excelling in our roles, thereby helping our
future students achieve their dreams by molding their minds, hearts, and souls. I
believe in our capability to achieve this. As we conclude this semester and
prepare for the LET exam, my earnest prayer is that we succeed, making our
parents, teachers, friends, and loved ones proud of our accomplishments. As we
go our separate ways, I hope that the bonds of friendship we've cultivated
endure, allowing us to share a brief chat whenever our paths cross.
Warm regards, Gene Lloyd B. Nacor
Life is very unpredictable, and all I can say is what every dream we have and
whatever plans have been made for us as long as we enjoy the process and the
journey towards that goal, we can all attain fulfillment in our hearts. I will always
be grateful for the memories we shared and the lessons we have learned from
this experience. I am looking forward all of us will attain our aspirations in life
and will be successful as we become Licensed Professional Teachers in God’s
perfect time. As we continue on this educational journey, let's remember to
cherish these connections we've forged. Let's support one another, celebrate
each other's successes, and navigate challenges together. -Jhea Nartatez
Farewells mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. We’ve met
each other and are already matured enough and done so many up and downs in
life, different courses, different pasts and responsibilities but one thing is for
sure we all have the same purpose why we entered this journey. From the first
day we walked into this shared space, I sensed a camaraderie that promised
more than just an academic journey. It has been an easy road for us because we
all share our ideas and help one another. Each one of you brings something
special to the table, enriching our discussions and making our class experience
truly dynamic. May your future be filled with adventures, happiness and success
and may you never forget the memories we’ve made. -Lael Gabriel Soledad

When We Were a Child

These are a few photos that have remained from my childhood. The picture on
the left captures me at the age of three, and on the right, during my freshman
year. These photos hold significance for me as they represent the best time of my
life. In my youth, innocence shielded me from concerns about bills or daily
necessities. The only dilemma I faced was deciding what games to play with
friends. According to my aunt, I was enthusiastic about studying as a child. I
eagerly waited for her to finish her classes so she could tutor me. She confessed
to occasionally attempting to hide to skip our sessions due to her busy schedule,
but I always waited and sought her out. During my nursery enrollment, my
teacher moved me to kindergarten because I already knew how to read and
write. This academic eagerness continued, and I graduated as the top student in
preparatory level. Unfortunately, after moving to a new place, my passion for
learning waned as I succumbed to video games introduced by new peers. Over
the years, my grades suffered, but I harbor no regrets. Despite the academic
setbacks, I gained valuable friendships and cherished memories. I am grateful to
my parents for not pressuring me academically, although they did offer guidance
when my focus wavered. My childhood memories are deeply embedded in my
core, shaping who I am today. There is nothing wrong with being average, as
long as one finds happiness, and no one is adversely affected.

-Gene Lloyd B. Nacor

This was taken in my elementary

graduation. I was tasked to lead a
pledge for I am one of the Honor
students during our time. One thing I

have realized now in this picture is that achievement in any stage of education,
including elementary school, doesn’t solely define who we are as individuals.
Elementary education is crucial for foundational learning, but it's just the
beginning of a lifelong journey of growth, learning, and development. This is just
a small portion of our life. Learning becomes more difficult as educational level
increases and responsivities are getting harder as we grow older. What matters
most is how we learn, adapt, and grow from our experiences, both in and out of
the classroom. Each person's unique qualities and strengths contribute to their
identity and worth.
-Jhea Nartatez

This was taken when I was about 2

years old. Among the four children in
the picture, I was the shortest one.
Beside me (left side) was my sister
and the two girls in both ends where
my cousins. Exactly that year my
mom passed away. Growing up
without a mom is an incredibly
challenging experience but it teaches
me to be independent and to think
maturely my decisions in life. This challenge that I experienced in life became my
strength in pursuing my dreams. The loss of someone significant can sometimes
serve as a powerful motivator. It can inspire us to live our lives to the fullest,
honor their memory, and accomplish things in their honor. Their absence doesn't
diminish the importance of our aspirations; in fact, it might reinforce our drive to
achieve them.

ASPIRATIONS

ix

vii
Enrolling in our dream course is the
initial stride toward achieving our
dream job. Before entering this
course, I graduated with a degree in
Bachelor of Engineering Technology
majoring in Chemical Engineering
Technology. Teaching wasn't my
initial career choice; however, upon
completing my college degree, I
sensed something missing. While I
initially envisioned working in
laboratories, I unexpectedly found joy
in teaching. Though it demands
patience, the reward is immense as
you witness individuals transform
from struggling learners to masters of
a subject. Reflecting on my past, I discovered a passion for sharing knowledge. I
taught my cousins how to play chess, volleyball, and computer games. I served as
a dance choreographer and provided tutoring to classmates grappling with
chemistry. It was during these moments that I realized my calling was in
teaching. I want to continue sharing my knowledge, inspiring others to pursue
their dreams. Looking ahead, I envision myself becoming a teacher who
illuminates the path for struggling students, helping them find meaning in their
lives. I also see myself starting a family with my current partner, concurrently
pursuing my master’s degree, and aspiring to achieve my ambition of obtaining a
doctoral degree. My ultimate goal is to teach anywhere in the world, spreading
the light of knowledge and encouragement. -Gene Lloyd Nacor
Back then, I never imagined myself
entering the educational field. It has been
challenging to me since I am a graduate of
a different course yet, I believe that if
things were destined for you, it will find its
way to meet you. I have a lot of aspirations
in life and one of these is to become a
Licensed Professional Teacher someday. I
can see myself as an engineer teaching in a
university at the same time. I want to
impart my knowledge and mold children
to become the best version of themselves. I
see myself after 5 years a Professional
Woman, a wife who never stops on improving her personal growth both in her
career and personality. We humans should have the value of being intellectual.
We should never stop learning and looking for.
-Jhea Nartatez

x
Aspirations can change over time and
may encompass multiple goals and
desires. Thus, whatever I may attain in
life all that I specifically just want is to
have stability and a peaceful life. I see
myself after 5 years, married, a
successful teacher and is someone
who is motivated to teach and
inspired to contribute my knowledge
to many children. By imparting my
knowledge and life skills, I can
contribute significantly to my
students' personal and intellectual
development, preparing them for their
future. Above all I want to see myself having personal fulfillment, happiness, or
success in my chosen field.
