Meeting Agenda- Feb 8, 2022

1. Develop STEM Vision and Goals for LSGA (brainstorm ideas)


What do we want students to accomplish in STEM at LSGA?
How can we correlate STEM to what we are already doing in PBIS?
Develop School Wide Focus/Theme (ex. School garden)
2. “STEM-ify” LSGA
Think about what we are already doing related to STEM (don’t reinvent the wheel)
A Design Process (brainstorm ideas)
Partnerships (local business community/parents that work in STEM careers)

3. Georgia STEM DAY- (March 4, 2022)

Application Process
1. Local School Administrator contacts STEM & Innovation Supervisor to review certification
criteria, develop implementation plan, and discuss local school needs.
2. School STEM Team creates a STEM Certification Portfolio using Office365 OneNote or other
method (website, etc.). Collect artifacts that demonstrate evidence to support the various
certification criteria. (Documentation is IMPORTANT!! Take pictures/ video, keep copies of
design challenge/lesson plan)

Dates/Things to Remember: LSGA STEM Committee Meeting (Tuesday March 1st 8am-8:30am)
GA STEM DAY- March 4, 2022
TBA- STEM Night
STEMapalooza June 14th -15th 2022 (Save the Date)
