INTRODUCTION

For this SBA, the topic, “What is wrong Mother Nature?” targets the causes and effects

of climate change and global warming to the young generation in Trinidad and Tobago. The

objective is to ameliorate, acknowledge and recover the delusions of humans’ actions.

The Exposition section, which is a speech, incorporates a theme which focuses on the

aspects of the worsening environment such as melting ice caps and glaciers, rising sea levels,

declining biodiversity and more using primary and secondary sources. The aim is to bring

limpidness to the action of human civilization about their surroundings.

The Reflection also incorporates this, as a poem, which brings questions and answers

regarding the world’s outlook to what the earth is telling us. This highlights the growing

consequences to man-kinds actions which helps bring the message across.

This topic comes from my academic interest in CAPE Biology where the environment is

meaningful to living organisms. This inspires me to be an environmental biochemist whose

ability is to apply their knowledge about biological molecules to protect and preserve the

environment. Personally, I am interested in this topic because saving the environment prolongs

the earth’s life for the next generation to live on.
