ASSESSMENT 1
1. What are the impacts of the pandemic on leadership nationwide and in independent
schools (and other workplaces)?

The impacts of the pandemic on leadership nationwide and in independent schools (and
other workplaces) based from the seminar lecture of Mr. Reynaldo B. Garnace would be
the feeling of burnout and stress that threatens the progress in female leadership. Also,
the challenges that these particular employees face during the COVID-19 pandemic based
from the graph aside from the feeling of burnout are the feeling of exhaustion, the feeling
of being pressured to work more, and the feeling of being excluded. Take note that the
senior-level women female employees experience exhaustion and burnout the most.
Unfortunately, I focused my answer on the negative impacts of the pandemic on
leadership nationwide.

2. What can we do to support leaders and sustain leadership in the years to come?

What we can do is to provide a platform for certain interventions such as trainings,

seminars, and the like that would enhance the knowledge of these leaders, thus sustaining
leadership in the years to come. We could also create certain programs for these
professional leaders so as to motivate them leading to the building of their confidence
which results to their productivity in the workplace even in the post-pandemic period. We
should also allow leaders to interact with each other so as to encourage exchange of ideas
in leadership. Lastly, we must address the problems that these leaders face such as
burnout, exhaustion, among others. Let these leaders breathe and take some time for
them to cope up with the burnout, through this strategy, they may recover from the
damages brought to them by the pandemic.
