ELECTRONIC STANDBY INSTRUMENT SYSTEM (ESIS) BATTERY (PS835D) - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES


1. Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS) Battery (PS835D)
A. Preflight Check
NOTE: Preflight check is optional for this air because it has remote test capability. The PS835D standby
instrument system battery is located in the right nose avionics bay (Ref. Figure 201).
(1) Remove the right avionics compartment door.
(2) Perform the PRE-FLIGHT CHECK procedure for the PS835 battery (Ref. BFGoodrich Aerospace Service Letter SL-80J
or subsequent).
(3) Install the right avionics compartment door.
B. Periodic Check
NOTE: The Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS) Battery periodic 3 to 6 month check is required. The
PS835D standby instrument system battery is located in the right nose avionics bay (Ref. Figure 201).
(1) Remove the right avionics compartment door.
(2) Perform the PERIODIC 3 TO 6 MONTH CHECK procedure for the PS835D battery (Ref. BFGoodrich Aerospace Service
Letter SL-80J or subsequent).
(3) Install the right avionics compartment door.
C. Capacity Test
NOTE: The Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS) Battery Annual Capacity Testing check is required.
The PS835D standby instrument system battery is located in the right nose avionics bay (Ref. Figure
201).
(1) Remove the right avionics compartment door.
(2) Perform the CAPACITY TESTING procedure for the PS835 battery (Ref. BFGoodrich Aerospace Service Letter SL-80J or
subsequent).
(3) Install the right avionics compartment door.
